Emma Miller award recipient - 2012
Paula has led her very active and successful branch in local campaign initiatives around the QTU state election strategy, federal funding and MP relationship building, not to mention branch development, and she was the driver behind the South Burnett behaviour management campaign which led to a regional review of the allocation of behaviour management resources in the Kingaroy area. She is the first point of contact and the face of the QTU for many members of the South Burnett branch.
Paula has held a variety of Union positions, including Workplace Representative, Branch Secretary and Treasurer, Area Council Delegate and Area Council representative to State Council and Conference, and in 2010 she participated in the QCU Anna Stewart Memorial Project.
In 2015, the AEU appointed Paula as its local Gonski coordinator in the target seat of Longman, where she helped to ensure the election of the pro-fair funding candidate.
