She has always raised her hand to accept office, as well as actively spreading the word and voice of the QTU within her area. Kerryn has represented the QTU at various events and engagements, including rallies and Labour Day marches.
Her long-held position on State Council has shown her commitment to the Union and representing the ongoing issues, concerns, and welfare of the members of the Maryborough Branch, as well as other members from across the state.
Kerryn displays ongoing fortitude in pursuing the rights of workers and people in general. Her strong belief in, and knowledge of, the Union, has been welcomed by many members. Kerryn has also continued to represent the QTU through managing the branch’s social media, even when her health prevented her from participating in person during the COVID-19 years.
Her retirement from the teaching profession, and thus the Union, will be felt by all that have had the pleasure to work alongside her.
