Teaching moments captured in captivating calendar
Queensland Teachers' Journal, Vol 126 No 8, 12 November 2021, page no.24
Teachers, students and the magic of teaching and learning are captured in an inspirational 2022 calendar showcasing the winning photographs of this year’s QCT photo competition.
The calendar features photography submitted by teachers from across the state in response to the theme: "Past Present and Future — Look How Far We Have Come".
Competition sponsor TUH Health Fund were delighted with the outcome. TUH CEO Rob Seljak said the imagery was outstanding.
“These photographs are a real pleasure to behold. It is wonderful to see the work of Queensland teachers and these moments from the classroom and the playground coming to life. We are very proud to be able to support the profession in this way,” Mr Seljak said.
The photo competition and the calendar are key projects of the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) 50th Anniversary.
The calendar is made possible by the strong partnership between the QCT and the Queensland Teachers’ Union (QTU).
QTU President Cresta Richardson also noted the imagery of this year’s calendar: “Seeing this project come to fruition is fantastic. The work of teachers is rarely given the credit it deserves and to see teachers and students in this calendar is just tremendous.
"We are very proud to be able to distribute this calendar to all Queensland state schools.”
The QCT’s 50th Anniversary celebrations continue this month with a regional celebration in Cairns on 25 November.
