Highly accomplished teacher (HAT) and lead teacher (LT): Information
In order to support members in engaging with this process, the QTU has developed a new training program to supplement those already being delivered. The intent of the program will be to assist participants in realistically analysing their work and their evidence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers, in order to develop better evidence sets, and/or make more informed decisions around readiness to apply.
The workshop focuses on how to plan for certification, including approaches to collecting, collating and annotating evidence. Participants will learn strategies for selecting meaningful evidence and discuss ways to present evidence for easy access and interpretation by assessors. The workshop assumes a degree of prior knowledge about the certification process which can easily be gained through completion of the introductory modules developed by the Department of Education.
As with previous programs offered by the QTU, this will be fully funded and FREE to QTU members. Sessions will be presented by experienced assessor and QuEST Professional Development Officer, Rebecca Hack, assisted at times by other Officers of the QTU.
This workshop has been developed to compliment rather than replicate workshops being offered by the Department of Education.
